Environmental Health |
The Environmental Health office:
- Licenses and inspects Food Service Establishments; Food Manufacturers; Public Accommodations; Trailer Parks and Campgrounds; and Pools and Spas under the authority of Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services - Food and Consumer Safety Section.
- Permits: Farmers Markets, Non-profit Temporary Food Service and Non-Profit Bake Sales.
- Teaches courses on safe food handling
- Permits and inspects the installation of septic systems. Septic systems are regulated by Sanders County Wastewater Treatment Regulations and Montana Department of Environmental Quality.
- Licenses county Site Evaluators and Septic Installers.
- Reviews subdivisions for sanitary requirements under the authority of Montana Department of Environmental Quality.
